Students from four states visited the “Seeds of Hope and Action” (SoHA) exhibition. On 28 July, SGM Sarawak held the SoHA exhibition at Riam Road Secondary School in Miri. Fifteen narrators explained the exhibition panels to some 800 students. Meanwhile, SGM Johor organised the SoHA exhibition at two schools in Johor Bahru, namely SJKC Pei Chih and SJKC Tampoi, on 30 July and 13 August respectively. Nearly 1,000 students viewed the exhibition in the two venues and gave encouraging responses. On 2 August, SGM Kuala Lumpur organised the exhibition at the Institute for Mathematical Research in Universiti Putra Malaysia. Among the visitors were 32 students from China who came to Malaysia for a summer camp themed “Life and Nature”. The SoHA exhibition, which emphasises the interconnection between human and the natural world, was among the camp’s activities. Some of the feedback received were “I will start to protect the earth by reducing waste” and “The exhibition broadens my understanding of global crises, hence I want to act not just for my country, but the world.” The exhibition was also held at SJKC Chung Hwa 1, Butterworth, Penang on 15 August. Narrated by students from the school, the exhibition was viewed by some 400 upper secondary students, inspiring them to initiate action for a more sustainable future. SGM Penang received a certificate of appreciation from the school and gifted some story books authored by President Ikeda in return.
