Our members come from all walks of society and strive to realize their inherent potential while confronting challenges of daily life.
SGM members believe that their personal happiness is inextricably linked to the happiness of others and aim to realize peace in the places where they live. SGM members strive to promote dialogue and harmonious coexistence based on the awareness that each life is infinitely precious.
SGM members avidly study the works of SGI President Daisaku Ikeda, who inspires them to contribute to the communities that they live in. President Ikeda’s efforts in global peacebuilding have also been recognized by esteemed Malaysian institutions. Reputable Malaysian publishers have also published his works in English and Malay locally.
Our members are broadly categorized into the following divisions:
Women’s Division
—
Members of the women’s division are regarded as the “sun of the family.” They often juggle multiple roles as homemakers, their career, and as diligent members of society. They play a pivotal role in SGM, especially in fostering the youth as successors and in creating solidarity for peace through the power of dialogue, compassion and resilience.
Men’s Division
—
Men’s division members are “golden pillars” of the organisation who play the role of father figures in society. They are often looked up to as role models by the youth and devote themselves unsparingly to the safety and prosperity of their respective communities. They are respected for their strength and wisdom derived from their rich life experiences and for the fulfillment of their responsibilities in the family, at work, and in society.
Youth Division

The success and development of any organisation, or country, hinges on whether youth are fostered to become capable people who contribute to their communities and can take on any challenge that comes their way with their heads held high.
SGM’s youth division members, as well as the junior division members, infuse fresh energy and creativity in every endeavor, while creating bonds of friendship that epitomize genuine human harmony.
Women’s Division
