SGM Holds Third Headquarters Leaders Conference cum 3 May Soka Gakkai Day Commemorative Gongyo Session
Towards 18 November Soka Gakkai Youthful Organisation

In conjunction with Soka Gakkai Day on 3 May, the 3rd SGM Headquarters Leaders Meeting was held on 29 May 2022 in hybrid format, with a total of 984 participants advancing in unity towards the goal of building a youthful SGM by 18 November!

SGI President Ikeda’s congratulatory message was read out. President Ikeda called on all members to “strengthen the solidarity of good citizens…with the great and dynamic life force of the Bodhisattvas of the Earth” and “enact a magnificent drama of human revolution.”

After the announcement of the new leaders, SGM General Director Koh Sia Feai and EXCO members issued reports on the first half of the year, including the progress of Soka International School Malaysia (SISM), the columbarium and the importance of identifying the authenticity of resources on the Internet.

SGM Youth Division leader Andrew Looi, young men’s division leader Chang Chung Bin and young women’s division leader Lee Kam Yit elaborated on the the progress of shakubuku campaigns in each state as well as the action plan for achieving a youthful organisation. They also shared the significance of the Kamata Campaign followed by the victory shakubuku report of the Selangor Kapar Chapter.

Before the meeting ended, Mr Koh encouraged the members to shoulder the mission of spreading the Law, and promoting shakubuku with strong determination, conviction and dedication. He also urged the participants to reach the first milestone of achieving a youthful organisation in the SGM ten-year plan, and further establish a true culture of shakubuku within the organisation.

Inspired, the participants made a strong determination to share the hope-filled philosophy of Nichiren Buddhism in order to enable more people to achieve absolute happiness and establish a youthful organisation.
