Hands-On Workshops Bring Traditional Art To Life

In conjunction with the “Harmony: In Colours and Combinations” exhibition, SGM and Satu: Creative Collective successfully coorganised two hands-on art workshops at Wisma Kebudayaan SGM in June 2026, promoting appreciation for traditional art forms through practical learning experiences.

On 14 June, two participants attended the paper-cutting art workshop led by participating artist Nik Mohd Husyaidie Che Hussin, where they learnt paper-cutting techniques from sketching to creating nature-inspired artworks. On 21 June, 10 participants joined the relief printmaking workshop, conducted by participating artist Faizal Suhif, to explore carving, inking and printing techniques through hands-on practice.

Both workshops combined demonstrations with guided activities, enabling participants to develop new artistic skills while producing their own works, further deepening their understanding of traditional arts.
