SGM Melaka Holds Mental Health Talk and Mobile Content Creation Workshop

On 21 June 2026, SGM Melaka organised a community programme featuring a health talk on mental health and suicide prevention, followed by a mobile photography and videography workshop at its culture centre. A total of 85 members and guests attended.

The health talk was delivered by Prof Dr Ching Siew Mooi from the Department of Family Medicine at Universiti Putra Malaysia. She highlighted the growing importance of mental health awareness, outlining the warning signs of depression, suicide prevention strategies and available support services. She also encouraged participants to strengthen their resilience through healthy lifestyle practices and spiritual wellbeing.

Later that day, members of the SGM Melaka Production Group conducted a workshop on smartphone photography and videography. Participants learnt the fundamentals of mobile content creation, including smartphone camera functions, visual storytelling and the use of basic accessories. Further workshops on filming, editing and social media content creation are planned.
