Students Sow Seeds of Hope and Action at Sabah School
On 30 July 2026, the “Seeds of Hope and Action” (SoHA) exhibition was held at SJKC Chi Vun Entabuan in Tenom, Sabah. SGM Sabah trained 48 students to serve as narrators, while 68 students from the school, together with teachers and students from six neighbouring schools, visited the exhibition.
Following the training, the student narrators gradually overcame their initial shyness and nervousness about speaking before others. They became more confident in explaining topics including health, nutrition, environmental protection and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), demonstrating their growth through learning and sharing their knowledge with others.
Principal Wong Eh Chun said what impressed her most was that the students did not merely memorise the exhibition content, but genuinely understood the topics and were able to explain them confidently to others. She believes that meaningful education enables students to learn, think and share what they have learnt with others.
From acquiring knowledge to standing before others and sharing what they had learnt, the students planted seeds of change through their own actions, allowing the seeds of hope to grow through action.
