TSS Holds Open Day for 2027 Intake

On 2 August 2026, Tadika Seri Soka (TSS) held an open day in preparation for its 2027 intake, giving parents and children an opportunity to visit the school and gain a better understanding of its learning environment and philosophy of Soka education.

Guided by the principles of Soka education, TSS places emphasis not only on academic learning but also on the holistic development of young children, including their social and emotional wellbeing, character, cognitive abilities and physical development.

Teachers warmly welcomed parents and children and provided campus maps for them to explore the school at their own pace. A variety of parent-child activities were also held in the cooking, art and music rooms, giving them the opportunity to enjoy meaningful moments together.

In addition, the kindergarten conducted a talk on children’s emotional development, helping parents better understand how to respond to and support their children’s emotional needs. Staff members also answered parents’ questions about enrolment and other matters, giving them further insight into TSS’s educational approach and learning environment.

Many parents expressed their appreciation for the educational philosophy of founder Daisaku Ikeda. Some shared that since joining TSS, their children had grown in areas such as independence, courage and diligence, while gaining valuable learning experiences beyond the classroom.

Through campus tours, parent-child activities and consultations, the event gave parents a deeper understanding of TSS’s commitment to the holistic development of young children. With the children’s growth and future at the heart of its efforts, TSS welcomed prospective students and their families with care, supporting them as the children take their first steps in Soka education.
