Blood Donation Drives Reflect Compassion and Community Spirit

SGM Kedah and Sabah organised blood donation drives on 12 and 14 June 2026 respectively, in collaboration with Sultanah Maliha Hospital and Keningau Hospital. Both events received enthusiastic support from members and the wider community.

SGM Kedah’s blood donation drive was held at the SGM Langkawi Centre, where 31 units of blood were collected to support Sultanah Maliha Hospital, the island’s main healthcare institution serving more than 110,000 residents and visitors. Meanwhile, SGM Sabah organised its drive at the SGM Keningau Centre, attracting 42 donors and successfully collecting 40 units of blood, surpassing the original target.

Throughout the events, SGM members and members of the public participated actively in donating blood, while women’s division members and volunteers provided support and assistance to ensure the smooth running of the programme.

Together, the two drives collected a total of 71 units of blood, helping to replenish hospital blood supplies while bringing together the goodwill and compassion of the community in support of saving lives. Through their selfless contributions, participants demonstrated the spirit of serving society and contributing to a caring and supportive community.
