SGM Martial Arts Group Emerges As National Championship Runner-Up
On 30 May 2026, the SGM Young Lion Martial Arts (YLMA) group secured second place at the 2026 KSL Esplanade Mall Cup Acrobatic Lion Dance Championship. Competing against 17 teams (with four teams withdrawing), YLMA distinguished itself with an impressive score of 9.18 points.
During the preparation period, the team faced the challenge of undergoing a major revision of its moves, requiring members to adapt to an entirely new choreography in less than a month. In the early stages of training, the team struggled to complete the full performance. Nevertheless, every member remained steadfast, embracing a spirit of determination and perseverance while giving their utmost effort in training.
Through continuous practice and perseverance, the team not only delivered an outstanding performance on the competition stage but also strengthened mutual trust and camaraderie among its members. The championship served not only as a test of their technical abilities but also as a testament to their collective journey of overcoming challenges and growing together. Through their actions, the team embodied the spirit of never giving up and demonstrated the power of unity and teamwork, laying a firm foundation for even greater achievements in the future.
