“The Beauty of Harmony: Klang and Seremban Two Cities Art Exhibition” Showcase the Spirit of Harmony and Coexistence

On 7 June 2026, “The Beauty of Harmony: Klang and Seremban Two Cities Art Exhibition” officially opened at the SGM Selangor Culture Centre. The exhibition was jointly organised by the Klang Artist Society and SGM Selangor, with participation from Negeri Sembilan Art Society. The exhibition ran from 6 to 14 June 2026.

Centred on the curatorial theme of “Harmony,” the exhibition brought together 60 artworks by artists from Klang and Seremban. Featuring calligraphy, Chinese ink painting, watercolour and acrylic works, the exhibition showcased the richness of artistic expression and the spirit of harmonious coexistence through diverse creative forms.

Klang Royal City councillor Ngian Yoke Mooi officiated the opening ceremony on behalf of Dato’ Teng Chang Khim. In her address, she commended the Klang Artist Society and SGM for their longstanding efforts in promoting local arts and culture, and highlighted the significance of the exhibition as a platform for inter-state cultural exchange.

Representing SGM Selangor, Teh Yong Seng remarked that harmony does not mean uniformity, but rather achieving coexistence through mutual respect and understanding. He also expressed hope for future collaborations with more arts organisations to further promote cultural and artistic exchange.

Klang Art Society chairperson Lee Kee Seng described the exhibition as an artistic dialogue that transcends geographical boundaries, and expressed his hope that visitors would experience a sense of harmony between themselves and the artworks. Negeri Sembilan Art Society president Yong Look Nam thanked SGM for its longstanding support of arts and cultural promotion.

The exhibition attracted more than 530 visitors. Through the diverse range of artworks on display, visitors gained insight into the creative perspectives of artists from Klang and Seremban, while deepening their understanding of the spirit of harmony.
