SISM Staff Visit Kansai Soka Schools for Educational Exchange

On 3 and 4 June 2026, Soka International School Malaysia (SISM) principal Dr Wendy Yee led a staff delegation to the Kansai Soka Schools in Osaka, Japan. The delegation observed classroom teaching and campus facilities, and interacted with students and staff to strengthen the bond between the sister schools.

On the first day, the delegation attended a welcome exchange programme hosted by Kansai Soka Elementary School, where they engaged warmly with pupils. Dr Yee encouraged the students to study English and other subjects diligently to open doors to the world, and expressed her hope of meeting them again at SISM in the future.

The next day, the delegation visited Kansai Soka Junior and Senior High Schools, where they exchanged views with school staff on topics including foreign language education and reading education. They also held discussions with boarding students. Through these exchanges, the delegation gained deeper insights into the implementation of Soka education at each school while further strengthening educational cooperation and friendship between the sister schools.
