SGM Selangor and Bukit Tinggi Medical Centre Coorganise Health Carnival
In conjunction with Soka Community Day in July 2026, SGM Selangor, in collaboration with Bukit Tinggi Medical Centre (BTMC), organised a Health Carnival on 5 July at the SGM Selangor Culture Centre. The event provided free health screenings and specialist medical consultations for the local community, attracting 405 participants and receiving an enthusiastic response.
Health services available included blood pressure and blood glucose checks, electrocardiogram (ECG), vision and cataract screenings, as well as dietary and nutritional counselling. BTMC also arranged for specialists in paediatrics, cardiology, general surgery, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, otorhinolaryngology (ENT), ophthalmology and geriatric medicine to offer professional medical advice to participants.
The carnival also featured cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) demonstrations, a medication take-back station, an elderly care information booth, healthy eating demonstrations, a Zumba fitness session and a children’s art corner, attracting residents of all ages. Many families attended together, making the event an opportunity not only to promote good health but also to strengthen community ties.
BTMC expressed its appreciation to SGM for its support and close cooperation in organising the event, and affirmed its commitment to continuing its partnership in promoting community health initiatives and making healthcare services more accessible to the public.
