Synopsis

The New Human Revolution is a novelised history of the Soka Gakkai. The protagonist is Shin’ichi Yamamoto, third president of the Soka Gakkai (whose character represents SGI President Daisaku Ikeda)

Chapters (Summary of Contents)

Wisdom and Courage: 1969 witnesses upheavals involving university students. Shin’ichi proposes a third way for student movements. The New Student Alliance is established to pave the path for a human rights movement.

Mission: The White Birch Group for young women’s division members who are nurses is established. The fife-and-drums corps performs at a parade at the US-Japan general meeting held in the US. Shin’ichi forms the writers division, fostering capable people who will bring about a renaissance of humanistic literature.

Fierce Winds: Even while battling the devil of illness, Shin’chi continues to encourage members in Kansai. The Soka Gakkai continues to advance as it overcomes the “Freedom of Speech Incident.”

Mighty River: 3 May 1970 marks the 10th anniversary of Shin’ichi’s inauguration as president. The introduction of a new block system marks the start of a new advance. The new Seikyo Shimbun building is completed.
