Dialogue Across Faiths Deepens Mutual Understanding

On 13 June 2026, SGM Selangor was represented by a delegation of 10 members, which includes SGM president Johnny Ng, secretary-general Tan Leng and SGM Selangor chairperson Steven Chee, at an interfaith programme organised by Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) at Hotel Wyndham Acmar, Klang. The event was attended by about 50 participants from diverse religious backgrounds, including representatives from Christian for Peace and Harmony in Malaysia (CPHM) and Klang Chinese Muslim Jamek Mosque. The event provided a warm and inclusive platform for dialogue and mutual understanding.

A dialogue session on arts and culture from the Islamic perspective highlighted themes on appreciation and respect among cultures, followed by an engaging question-and-answer session. The programme concluded with a communal lunch, encouraging informal interaction and strengthening bonds among participants.
