bureaucratism from taking root, accelerating the pace of advancement. He sails upon turbulent waters for the Amami Oshima islands for the sake of kosen-rufu.

Jewelled Sword: Shin’ichi announces the commencement of an “essential phase” of kosen-rufu from the sixth anniversary of Toda’s death. He begins a series of Gosho study sessions for students of Kyoto University, exerting all-out effort to foster youthful successors.

Pure Stream: Ordinary people speak out for justice, engaging in a struggle of words. In light of various problems caused by leaders, Shin’ichi clarifies the nature of devilish functions that obstruct kosen-rufu.
