Synopsis

The New Human Revolution is a novelised history of the Soka Gakkai. The protagonist is Shin’ichi Yamamoto, third president of the Soka Gakkai (whose character represents SGI President Daisaku Ikeda)

This volume begins with Shin’ichi Yamamoto’s first steps for global peace. In his heart, he carried with him his mentor’s ardent wish to rid the world of misery.

Chapters

Trailblazing: Shin’ichi Yamamoto visits Germany, France and the United Kingdom, sowing the seeds of the Mystic Law and cultivating friendships. He also seriously considers the issues of ageing and the wellbeing of senior citizens.

Joy: Shin’ichi continues his European voyage. In Vienna, he comtemplates the struggles of Beethoven; in Rome he recollects the history of Christianity and envisions the glorious future of kosen-rufu.

Victory: In realising a vow made to Josei Toda, a general meeting that gathers 100,000 young men’s division members is held. The young women’s division successfully gathers 85,000 young women. The power of youth stirs the great wave that will change society.

Lion: 1962, the Year of Victory opens. The Komei (Clean Government) Political Federation is formed for the people’s sake. The Osaka Incident trial ends with a verdict of “not guilty” for Shin’ichi, heralding a victory for the common people.
