Chapters

Spring Storm: After returning from his maiden Asian tour, Shin’ichi travels all over Japan attending chapter inaugural meetings. Soka Gakkai members are also facing increasing ostracization in their communities.

Triumph: The Soka Gakkai celebrates the first anniversary of Shin’ichi’s presidency with unprecendented development. An announcement on the financial contribution campaign for the construction of the Grand Reception Hall stirs great ripples of joy.

Fresh Leaves: Shin’ichi attends regional youth division general meetings nationwide to stir fresh waves of youthful development. The organisation begins producing films for kosen-rufu and also establishes the writers department.

Rissho Ankoku: When preparing a lecture on “On Establishing the Correct Teaching for the Peace of the Land” for a summer training course, Shin’ichi reflects on Nichiren’s efforts to open up the path for world peace based on Buddhist humanism.

Great Light: Shin’ichi steps foot in Europe for the first time, endeavouring to bring the great light of Nichiren Buddhism here. At the Berlin Wall, he vows to transform the animosity between nations into friendship.
