In January and February 2026, SGM members nationwide held general meetings under the theme “Year of Vibrant Growth for a Youthful Soka Gakkai Worldwide,” where New Year’s messages by Minoru Harada and Koh Sia Feai were conveyed, inspiring members to renew their determination to advance shakubuku and kosen-rufu.

In Selangor, young women’s division member Tan Jia Xuan shared how participating in the Youth Peace Culture Festival (YPCF) helped her overcome her introverted nature and grow in confidence. In Sabah, new member Cheng Siew Yun expressed joy in her faith and resolved to share Buddhism, determined to transform suffering into happiness through the power of the Mystic Law.

Meetings in Melaka and Perak featured members’ experiences from YPCF and shakubuku efforts, inspiring others to engage in dialogue with courage, set clear goals, and take action. In Johor, members were encouraged to support one youth each, while Negeri Sembilan’s Rasah Jaya Chapter highlighted the Tam family’s inspiring story of faith across generations through YPCF participation.

In Kuala Lumpur, members were encouraged to become “people of action, prayer and compassion,” with experiences shared on overcoming challenges in life through faith.
Marking the 65th anniversary of Daisaku Ikeda’s first visit to Asia, members nationwide renewed their determination to achieve the goal of 8,000 youth shakubuku by 3 May.
