In celebration of the 35th anniversary of SGM Women’s Division Day on 21 October, 189 Soka Women’s Friendship Day gatherings were held nationwide throughout October and November, with participation from 7212 members and friends. The gatherings aimed to expand networks of friendship and trust within local communities. SGM women’s division leader Chan Yin Kwan also conveyed her heartfelt congratulatory message.

In Sabah, the event was held on 19 October at its culture centre, featuring an informative talk on breast cancer by a medical doctor. Two cancer survivors also shared their moving stories, inspiring everyone present. Interactive activities further enriched the meaningful atmosphere.
That same day in Perak, the event took place at the SGM Perak Culture Centre, where members shared faith experiences. Participants also took part in workshops on making eco-friendly products and a creative contest on preparing healthy meals.

In Melaka, Soka women of all age groups shared moving victory experiences during the “Queen of Happiness” segment. Workshops on health-nourishing soups, enzyme preparation, beauty and self-care were also well received, creating a warm and lively atmosphere.
In Kelantan, the celebration was held on 24 October at its Culture Centre, featuring faith experiences and sharings on President Ikeda’s parenting guidance, among others.
On 25 October, the SGM SS2 centre in Petaling Jaya hosted a joint event by the women’s and young women’s divisions, featuring engaging dialogue sessions and creative workshops on floral arrangement, handmade soaps and lip balms, filling the venue with joy.

Through these activities, participants deeply experienced the courage and strength rooted in faith and pledged to weave a network of friendships based on the “happiness for oneself and others,” advancing together toward a century of women filled with hope and brilliance.
