On 1 January, members welcomed 2026 through New Year’s Gongyo Meetings held nationwide. Alongside programmes organised by each state, New Year’s messages from Soka Gakkai president Minoru Harada and SGM General Director Koh Sia Feai were shared during the meetings.

President Harada called on members to earnestly seek the mentor’s guidance, fill their lives with vibrant energy and advance boldly along the noble path of human revolution. Mr Koh, meanwhile, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for members’ contributions and encouraged everyone to create a new history of kosen-rufu with vibrant momentum in the year ahead.
SGM Pahang held the meeting together with the Members General Meeting at its culture centre, which was broadcast to four other centres in Bentong, Raub, Triang and Mentakab, drawing some 250 participants in total. Behind-the-scenes stories from the Youth Peace Culture Festival were also shared, inspiring participants to continue striving for victory in the new year.

In Selangor, the All Leaders cum New Year’s Gongyo Meeting was attended by some 620 leaders. The meeting announced the continuation of the youth culture activity series to further expand shakubuku while fostering youth.
New Year’s Gongyo Meetings were likewise held in Sabah, Perak, Penang and Petaling Jaya.
Members renewed their vows and set forth with fresh determinations towards the Year of Vibrant Growth for a Youthful Soka Gakkai Worldwide.
