On 5 and 6 April, 97 young men’s division (YMD) leaders from block to chapter levels across the country attended the first session of the 6th YMD Academy, held at the SGM Selangor Culture Centre.

The YMD Academy aims to foster young men with a spirit of oneness of mentor and disciple, who will lead the grassroots shakubuku movement. A total of four sessions are planned this year.

SGM General Director Koh Sia Feai gave a lecture on the life and indomitable spirit of Soka Gakkai’s first president Tsunesaburo Makiguchi. 

Participants also visited the Justice Hall, where they learnt about the history and spirit of SGM’s pioneers in Selangor, with a focus on their efforts to protect the organisation and to refute the erroneous and reveal the true.  

SGM men’s division leader Dr Boey concluded the session by encouraging participants to begin everything with prayer and to live a life of no regrets, grounded in daimoku.
