On 20 December 2023, SGM Selangor was awarded “The SDGs Strategic Partner 2023” at the Sustainable Community Awards Ceremony organised by the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) at KSL Esplanade Hotel in Klang. SGM honorary secretary Yap Chin Fah received the award on behalf of the organisation.
The ceremony is an annual event aimed at recognising the unwavering efforts of Klang residents in practising the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). MPK president Datin Paduka Noraini Roslan said that the achievements of MPK are the result of collective efforts from various parties. She expressed her hopes to achieve sustainable urban development through increased community collaborations.
