In response to SGI President Ikeda’s call in his 2015 Peace Proposal in urging all to express a clear commitment to the primacy of protecting the lives and human rights of refugee children, SGM Selangor Young Mister Group organised a community project with UNHCR and Muslim Aid Foundation to help one of the refugee schools located in the Klang Valley. On March 19 and 20, around 50 SGM Selangor members helped to paint Pusat Ilmu Muslim Aid (PIMA), a new refugee school situated in Ampang, Selangor which houses more than 80 Rohingya refugee children living around the area. The teachers praised their efforts and urged more non-governmental organisations to organise such voluntary efforts.
