The “Peace in Colour” art exhibition, co-organised by SGM Selangor and the Klang Art Society (KAS), was held from 5–13 April at the SGM Selangor Culture Centre, drawing over 450 visitors.
Twenty artists showcased 40 paintings in various mediums and styles centred on the theme of peace, symbolising multicultural harmony and coexistence. The exhibition also commemorated the 40th anniversary of KAS’s founding.
The opening ceremony on 6 April was officiated by Klang city councillor Ngian Yoke Mooi, representing state assemblyperson Quah Perng Fei. In her speech, she emphasised that art transcends time, language and geographical boundaries.
SGM Selangor representative Leow Yeong Haur noted that SGM’s commitment to promoting peace through cultural exchange closely aligns with KAS’s mission and expressed hope for continued collaboration in the future.
Curator and KAS vice-president Lim Shean Chu also expressed gratitude to SGM.

Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officiate the exhibition, long service awards were presented to artists in recognition of their contributions.
On 13 April, artist Goh Boon Cheng conducted an art sharing session at the same venue, focusing on paintings from Dunhuang, China.
