On 31 March, representatives from SGM Penang, along with several other religious organisations attended a buka puasa event hosted by Lebuh Acheh Mosque in George Town.
Penang Gandhi Peace Centre chairperson Dato’ Seri Prof Dr Anwar Fazal recited a poem titled “The Great City of Harmony” written by India former president APJ Abdul Kalam. The poem celebrates the harmonious diversity of Penang.
In his speech, the mosque chairperson Dato Seri Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa said that all religions share a common stance against violence and advocate for peace.
The attendees were inspired to contribute collectively to the promotion of community peace and unity.
