On 21 March, SGM Penang participated in a heartwarming buka puasa event hosted by the Lebuh Acheh Mosque in George Town. The gathering brought together religious leaders and NGO representatives, among others, to experience the spiritual blessings of Ramadan and foster bonds of harmony. 

The event began with a speech by YB Senator Datuk Seri Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa, who emphasised the importance of upholding the rule of law, stressing that acts of aggression against others, without just cause, are condemned by all faiths. 

Following his address, Think City (an urban rejuvenation venture) chairperson Dato’ Seri Dr Anwar Fazal shared his insights on the vital role of heritage and culture in fostering social unity.

Also present at the event was Penang exco member YB Lim Siew Kim.

SGM Penang’s participation reflects its continued commitment to interfaith harmony and the promotion of peace through mutual understanding.
