For the sake of ensuring SGM achieves its goal of expanding the organisation with 20,000 new professors of happiness in 2018, SGM leaders based in Perlis held a training course in the state capital Kangar on November 12, 2017. Leaders and members in Perlis are part of the SGM Kedah organisation.

The training course’s emphasis was on strengthening Buddhist study and the mentor-disciple spirit. They studied the Gosho “On Establishing the Correct Teaching for the Peace of the Land”, the spirit of the three founding presidents of the Soka Gakkai and the mission of SGM leaders. They also shared experiences in faith to encourage each other.

As of November 18, 2017, SGM members in Perlis have successfully introduced 40 people to the practice of Nichiren Buddhism, and this training course served as a fresh departure towards greater expansion of SGM in Perlis for 2018!
