On 25 May, SGM convened its 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) at its culture centre, with 195 full members in attendance.
SGM General Director Koh Sia Feai opened the meeting with a speech reflecting on key activities and notable achievements from the past year. He expressed heartfelt gratitude for the dedicated efforts of members and encouraged everyone to strive for even greater heights in kosen-rufu this year.
The meeting confirmed the minutes of the 40th AGM held on 26 May 2024 and adopted the treasurer-general’s report on the audited statement of accounts of SGM for the financial year ended 31 December 2024.
Representatives from CGS International Securities Malaysia later delivered a report on the performance of SGM’s investment portfolio. The meeting re-appointed Messrs. Crowe Malaysia PLT as the external auditors for the financial year ending 31 December 2025 and authorised the General Council to fix their remuneration.
During the meeting, members received the General Council’s annual report on SGM’s activities in 2024, along with progress updates on Yayasan SGM, Ikeda Memorial Park and Soka International School Malaysia.
The AGM also conferred the title of SGM honorary life president on Kok Fook On.
