Promoting Health
On 2 November, SGM Perak partnered with Seri Manjung Hospital to organise a blood donation campaign at the SGM Sitiawan Centre, collecting 19 packs of blood.

SGM Sabah, in collaboration with Sabah Kinabalu Pink Ribbon, organised a health talk on 16 November at a local SGM centre in Interior Division Region, attended by 47 participants. Breast and endocrine specialist Dr Lee Chang Haur provided insights on the causes, diagnosis and prevention of breast cancer. SGM women’s division member Wong Shiau Vui then shared her personal journey of overcoming cancer, offering heartfelt encouragement.

Protecting the Environment
On 2 November, SGM continued its partnership with MY Clean Beach, following the Run for Peace event, through a beach cleaning activity at Pantai Batu Laut in Tanjung Sepat, Selangor. This marked the second session with MY Clean Beach, after the first collaboration on 20 July at Pantai Jeram. For this second initiative, MY Clean Beach also acted as Malaysia’s sustainability partner for the Commonwealth Clean Oceans Plastics Campaign, an effort jointly launched by the Commonwealth Games Federation and the Royal Commonwealth Society. 40 SGM members joined other volunteers in collecting over 200 kilograms of trash.

On the 9th, SGM partnered with the women-led social enterprise Kloth Circularity to host an online environmental webinar, “Threads of CHANGE: Exploring Textiles and Clothing Circularity for a Sustainable Future,” attracting 161 participants. Sherlina Melissa from Kloth Circularity highlighted the hidden environmental and social costs of fashion and introduced the “Kloth 5R Circular Economy of Textiles”: Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose and Recycle.

On the 22nd, SGM Penang Kaho Group held the “Let’s Give Books a New Life” book exchange at the SGM Penang Culture Centre and Bukit Tambun Culture Centre. The initiative promoted green reading and lifelong learning through the recirculation of books.
