In conjunction with SGM’s campaign to encourage all members to study The New Human Revolution, the “Third SGI Online Study Lecture” delivered by SGI Vice-President Hiromasa Ikeda was held 318 times across the country from 20 August to 20 November 2022. More than 20,000 people participated in the lecture entitled “The Brilliant Path of Worldwide Kosen-rufu – Learning from The New Human Revolution.”

In the first part, the vice-president elaborated on SGI President Ikeda‘s background, feelings and reasons for writing The New Human Revolution, the three significance of studying the novel and the importance of fulfilling the vow one has made to the mentor. Finally, he emphasised that the most important thing in studying is to understand it deeply and put it into practice.

In the second part, the vice-president explained the two ideas that run through the 30 volumes of the novel – turning karma into mission and the true nature of devilish functions and “evil friends”, as well as the key points in the “Vow” chapter in volume 30, calling on everyone to seriously think about how to apply the unchanging principles of kosen-rufu in our lives.

Finally, the vice-president encouraged all members to thoroughly study the novel and look forward to the emergence of Shin’ichi Yamamotos – those who share the same self-realisation and passion as President Ikeda, creating a breakthrough in this new era.

Young men’s division leader Chang Chung Bin said after watching the lecture, “We must meet the challenge with ‘consciousness and confidence'”; Wan Yoke Ping, a women’s division member was determined to practise the teachings in the novel and demonstrate her human revolution with an unyielding spirit.
