SGM has long been dedicated to promoting health and wellbeing through various community initiatives. In October, SGM continued these efforts with a series of activities held across different states.
On 3 October, SGM Sarawak took part in the World Environmental Health Day celebration hosted by the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) at its lobby. SGM’s booth featured the Seeds of Hope and Action (SoHA) exhibition and showcased eco-bricks and upcycled bags, encouraging visitors to adopt sustainable practices that contribute to a healthier environment.

On 5 October, SGM Sabah organised a blood donation drive at its culture centre, supported by Hospital Queen Elizabeth II. The event successfully collected 38 bags of blood. Since 2011, SGM Sabah has collaborated with government hospitals in such efforts, contributing a cumulative total of 1,420 bags of blood to date.
On 26 October, a health talk on rheumatoid arthritis was held at the SGM Melaka Culture Centre. Delivered by Dr Yap Hui Fang, a rheumatology specialist, the session provided an in-depth overview of the condition – covering its causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options and preventive measures – helping participants gain greater awareness of joint health.
