The “A Retrospective Chew Teng Beng – Life, Art and Writings” exhibition, held at Wisma Kebudayaan SGM (WKSGM) since 23 December 2023, concluded on 4 February 2024, recording a total of more than 3,700 visitors. Many of these visitors were visiting WKSGM for the first time, with a significant number of them being university students.
Some of the feedback received were “This extraordinary exhibition exceeds my expectations,” “The exhibits are inspiring and they enhance my appreciation for art,” “Visiting this exhibition cheers me up” and “The exhibition guide was friendly.”
During the exhibition period, tours led by curator Tan Sei Hon, art talks and seed paper-making workshops were held.
Paper-making workshop instructor Edmund Low from the AACE Association of Art in Charity and Education guided the participants through the entire process, enabling them to immerse themselves in the joy of creating art.
