In celebration of Soka Gakkai Men’s Division Day on 24 August, commemorative meetings were held nationwide throughout the month. During these gatherings, participants studied excerpts from President Daisaku Ikeda’s The Wisdom for Creating Happiness and Peace series and listened to a congratulatory message from SGM Men’s Division leader Looi Chee Choong.
In his message, Mr Looi encouraged the members to care for those who are suffering, share Buddhism courageously, and strive to realise happiness for oneself and others. He also called on them to actively engage in the shakubuku campaign.

From 16–31 August, commemorative meetings were held across Johor in Muar, Kluang, Batu Pahat and Johor Bahru. Participants watched a video of President Ikeda’s guidance and learnt about the spirit of the “February Campaign.” The meetings inspired all present to unite in the shared vow of making Johor the “Kansai” of Malaysia.
In the Perlis chapter, a commemorative meeting was held on 21 August at the local centre, joined by young men’s division members. Participants discussed shakubuku and pledged to create a new wave of propagation.
In Kelantan, members gathered on 29 August at their culture centre, joyfully singing “The Song of the Waterfall” and sharing their reflections on the theme “Unseen virtue brings about visible reward.”
