From 12–16 September, SGM showcased Chinese heritage and traditions at the Malaysia Cultural Festival 2025. The showcase featured the 24 seasons drum, lion dance, Chinese chess, Chinese tea ceremony and traditional musical instruments, among others.
Organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), the festival was held at Titiwangsa Lake Gardens, Kuala Lumpur, and featured 68 segments of arts and cultural activities presented by government agencies, private sector organisations, NGOs and individuals.

On 13 September, the opening ceremony was officiated by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who noted that Malaysia’s diversity and tolerance are the nation’s strengths. He added that we take pride in the peace and prosperity we have attained while celebrating the various cultures, songs and dances which reflect the great nation of ours.
Meanwhile, MOTAC Minister YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing highlighted that foreign visitors often describe Malaysia as a destination rich in diverse cultures and heritage, a uniqueness that makes Malaysians proud.

Also present at the ceremony were Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, and Deputy MOTAC Minister Datuk Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan.
