On 29 May, SGM secretary-general Tan Leng represented the Buddhist community as a panelist at an interfaith forum held at the Performing Arts Theatre of Management and Science University, Shah Alam.
Speaking under the event’s theme “One Community, One Heart: Together Addressing Social Issues,” Tan Leng shared insights on how Buddhist compassion and wisdom can address the challenges posed by social media. He also underscored the importance of dialogue in fostering peace and harmony within Malaysia’s multicultural society.
Other panellists included Rev. Dato’ Jonathan Jesudas from the Tamil Methodist Church Seremban; Thurai Chantheran from Malaysian Organisation for Hindu Knowledge On Science, Heritage and Arts (MOHKSHA); and Shah Kirit Kakulal Govindji from the Global UNITY Network.
