The “I Seek Sensei” training course was held on 27 April, 4 May and 18 May at the Mentor and Disciple Peace Hall in Wisma Kebudayaan SGM. Participants included members of the Gajokai, Byakuren and Sokahan Groups; the Hope Fife-and-Drum Corps; as well as the Sunflower, ‘Creativ’ (SGM’s creative group), Vanguard and Navigator Groups, who are involved in SGM arts and culture activities.

The training began with an explanation of its significance, followed by participants performing gongyo and chanting daimoku in the Mentor and Disciple Room. They then viewed panels and exhibits highlighting the spirit of the oneness of mentor and disciple, including the legacy of the three founding presidents and President Ikeda’s two visits to Malaysia.
After the visit, participants wrote their resolutions. Many shared that the training course has reaffirmed their determination to uphold President Ikeda’s spirit and raise capable successors.
The training course is in line with SGM’s 2025 direction to strengthen the spirit of the oneness of mentor and disciple among the members.
