On 12 April, 66 SGM student division members from across the country attended the first session of the Akademeia Training Course at the SGM Culture Centre. This training series consists of three sessions, aimed at comprehensively studying the spirit of oneness of mentor and disciple, the pioneering spirit and the spirit of “refuting the erroneous and revealing the true.”

Participants studied the Young Eagles” chapter from The New Human Revolution, gaining a deeper appreciation of President Ikedas hopes for student division members to become pioneers who contribute to society with the wisdom of Buddhism.

The “Gosho Theatre” session presented the teachings of Nichiren Daishonin in a creative and engaging way, sparking members’ enthusiasm to study the Gosho proactively.  Participants also had the chance to listen to inspiring sharings from seniors in faith, who spoke about holding fast to their prime points with President Ikeda to achieve victories in life.

The training fostered strong bonds of friendship among the student division members, ignited the flame of faith, and deepened their connection with President Ikeda. They resolved to take on the challenge of “introducing one friend to Buddhism, reading two books, and chanting at least 30 minutes of daimoku daily,” as they embark on their own human revolution—soaring high into the skies of a new era.
