In conjunction with the entry into force of the Treaty on the prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) on January 22, 2021, SGI (Soka Gakkai International) and the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) produced a visual storytelling tool and a handbook on the treaty to inform the public about the treaty and the significance of its entry into force toward the total prohibition and abolition of nuclear weapons.
The Visual Storytelling Tool provides a brief introduction to the treaty and its significance while the handbook briefly explains what the treaty is about, how it was adopted, and what it envisions. It includes a couple of short questions and answers for discussion.
To commemorate the one-year anniversary of the entry into force of TPNW, Rakan TPNW, had translated the visual storytelling tool into Chinese and Malay. Rakan TPNW is an initiative by Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) to build solidarity towards a world without nuclear weapons.
