SGI President Daisaku Ikeda’s passing on 15 November 2023 has left an indelible mark not only on members of Soka Gakkai worldwide but also on many like-minded people who share the same ideals for peace, culture and education.
Upon hearing about President Ikeda’s passing, the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC) of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) decided to hold a memorial lecture to commemorate President Ikeda’s contribution to peace and harmonious coexistence in the world as well as his tireless effort in encouraging and giving hope to people no matter who they are.
This memorial lecture will be held on President Ikeda’s birthday. Details are as follows:
