On 21 June, the Nationwide Correspondents Group Online Seminar was held, bringing together 36 correspondents, along with some state central leaders and SGM staff.
The seminar began with a brief introduction to the SGM publications department and its key activities, setting the context for the correspondents’ crucial role within the organisation.
Department vice-head Khoo Koon Hoe then shared the spirit of a correspondent as described in the “Mighty River” chapter of The New Human Revolution, volume 14, reaffirming the noble mission entrusted to them.
To enhance the efficiency of the correspondents’ operations and strengthen their reporting capabilities, the seminar also included a presentation on communication workflows, writing techniques and interview skills.
Concluding the seminar, SGM publications head Chia Kok Peng underscored the importance of correspondents – describing them as the eyes, ears and legs of the Soka Gakkai – tasked with showcasing SGM’s vibrancy and the fighting spirit of its members.
