SGM Sarawak Shines at World Environmental Health Day Event

On 3 October 2025, the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) hosted its annual World Environmental Health Day event, officiated by Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng at the council hall. The programme was educational and inspiring, encouraging the public to take concrete action towards a more sustainable Kuching. 

SGM Sarawak participated, showcasing the impactful “Seeds of Hope and Action (SoHA)” exhibition, demonstrating how to make eco-bricks, and displaying eco-friendly tote bags. 

The SoHA exhibition encouraged reflection on sustainable daily actions, while the eco-brick display promoted responsible waste management through demonstrating how to turn plastic into reusable building materials. The tote bags reminded attendees to practise mindful consumption and reduce single-use plastics. 

Many visitors admired the creativity of the exhibits and the meaningful environmental messages they conveyed.
