SGM Fei Yang Symphonic Band Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Concert – A Symphonic Poem of Faith and Growth

The SGM Fei Yang Symphonic Band, whose name was bestowed by SGI President Ikeda, was established on 2 November 2005. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Greater Kuala Lumpur Fei Yang Symphonic Band held commemorative concerts on 28 September and 5 October 2025, at the SGM Culture Centre, attracting 515 people. 

The performances featured six pieces and a clarinet ensemble, accompanied by heartfelt sharing from members about their personal growth through faith and band activities. An exhibition showcasing the band’s history and related photographs was also on display.

The concert repertoire included beloved tunes from soundtracks of animated productions such as Lilo and Stitch, Violet Evergarden, and Kiki’s Delivery Service, as well as moving contemporary pieces like Omens of Love. The resonant melodies filled the hall with hope and inspiration, drawing warm applause from the audience at the concert’s conclusion.
