SGM Attends Iftar Event, Engage in Multiethnic Interactions

On 14 March 2026, SGM was invited to attend an iftar event organised by the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) at the Sultan Abdul Samad Mosque near the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. SGM secretary-general Tan Leng led a  delegation, joining representatives from various communities to celebrate the festive occasion and promote cultural exchange.

The event began with a forum, where two speakers shared the positive values of Islam, illustrating their points with personal experiences. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, allowing guests to speak freely and engage in lively discussions.

Following the forum, participants broke fast together with Muslim participants, enjoying meals while engaging in friendly conversations, strengthening bonds and fostering goodwill.

This event provided a platform for individuals from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds to connect with and understand each other better. It also offered participants deeper insight into Islamic traditions and the significance of iftar, contributing positively to social harmony.
