Selangor Culture Centre Holds “Community Health Day” – Enhancing Community Wellbeing, Safeguarding Life

On 8 March 2026, SGM Selangor organised a Community Health Day at its culture centre, open to the public, with support from St John Ambulance Malaysia, National Cancer Society Malaysia, National Blood Centre, and Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, providing health consultations and screening services for the community.

A blood donation drive and health screening services were conducted on the day, with the National Cancer Society also deploying a mobile clinic. A total of 91 units of blood were collected, and 79 members of the public received health screenings.

In addition, St John Ambulance Malaysia conducted a first aid talk on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the automated external defibrillator (AED), including live demonstrations of basic emergency procedures. Participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of the “golden four minutes” in emergency response.

The event not only raised health awareness in the community, but also reflected a strong spirit of valuing life and caring for society.
