SGM Sabah Brings Warmth of Chinese New Year to Bukit Harapan Therapy Community
On 17 February 2026, approximately 50 SGM Sabah members, carrying with them the joy and blessings of the festive season, visited Bukit Harapan Therapy Community, a not-for-profit charitable shelter, to celebrate Chinese New Year with its residents. A warm and harmonious atmosphere permeated the centre, as laughter and cheerful exchanges wove a moving scene of festive goodwill.
The event commenced with an energetic and jubilant lion dance presented by youth division members, setting a lively tone for the celebration. This was followed by a graceful traditional dance performed by women’s division members, whose captivating presentation brought the atmosphere to a vibrant climax. Residents responded with enthusiastic applause, and many gathered around the lion dance, cheering with delight. The spirit of reunion and heartfelt blessings enlivened the occasion.
After extending heartfelt Chinese New Year greetings, members presented the centre with a donation of food and daily necessities, expressing their care through concrete action. They also took time to engage warmly with the residents, offering kind words and thoughtful conversation, strengthening bonds through genuine interaction.
Upholding the spirit of building friendly communities, SGM Sabah will continue to strengthen neighbourhood ties through meaningful initiatives, bringing warmth to every corner of the community and contributing renewed hope and vitality towards a harmonious and caring society.
