Peace Starts With Me! – Negeri Sembilan Prince Joins 3,000 in Run for Peace
The Negeri Sembilan leg of Run for Peace, coorganised by SGM Negeri Sembilan and the Seremban City Council, was held on 7 September 2025 at the Seremban City Council field. Negeri Sembilan prince YAM Tunku Zain Al-’Abidin ibni Tuanku Muhriz ran alongside 3,000 participants for the cause of peace.
In his speech, Tunku Zain stated that the Soka Gakkai ideal that peace starts in an individual resonated with him, and when people spread this message widely in society, a harmonious and united nation will emerge.
Other distinguished guests included SGM Negeri Sembilan chairperson Datuk Chong Khin Sang and Negeri Sembilan Immigration Department director Kennith Tan Ai Kiang.
One of the event highlights was the participation of about 100 students and staff from Soka International School Malaysia (SISM), marking the school’s first-ever involvement in Run for Peace.
Besides the run, several booths were set up to allow participants to better understand sustainable living practices.
After completing the run, many participants chose to stay on while enjoying the refreshing weather, spending a joyful and fulfilling weekend with their families and friends.
