Nationwide New Year’s Gongyo Meetings
Welcome Year of Vibrant Growth for a Youthful Soka Gakkai Worldwide with Fresh Victories
On 1 January 2026, leaders and members across the nation held New Year Gongyo meetings to welcome the arrival of 2026. In addition to programmes arranged by various states, the New Year’s messages by Soka Gakkai president Minoru Harada and SGM General Director Koh Sia Feai were delivered during the meetings.
In his message, President Harada pointed out that the vow of the disciple is the driving force for victory, and that the life of our mentor President Ikeda is the eternal model for disciples to follow. Noting that 2026 marks the 65th anniversary of President Ikeda’s first visit to Asia, President Harada expressed his determination to continue striving for peace this year. He called upon everyone to “earnestly seek our mentor’s guidance, filling our lives with vibrant energy, and press forward boldly along the noble path of human revolution!” (Full text in January 2026 COSMIC)
