SGM Holds Members Day Nationwide Promoting Contribution Spirit and Reading Culture

On 19 October 2025, the Greater Kuala Lumpur Members Day was held at the SGM Culture Centre, featuring various activities, including a marathon chanting session, faith dialogue booths and members service counters offering services such as e-contribution support.

A special exhibition on “Joyous Contribution” and a sharing session by senior members highlighted SGM’s longstanding tradition of sincere contribution. The exhibition revisited the collective efforts of members nationwide who supported the construction of the SGM centres, a “castle of kosen-rufu.” It also paid tribute to the behind-the-scenes dedication of the support of whose selfless contribution ensures the smooth running of activities.

A book fair was also held, alongside a Soka Book Club session where participants shared their reflections on The Human Revolution, volume 12 (Chinese edition), further fostering a culture of reading among members.

On the same day, SGM Sarawak held its Members Day at its culture centre, themed “The Seeds of  Hope and Action,” encouraging participants to take concrete actions towards community sustainability. Various activities were organised, including the “Seeds of Hope and Actions” exhibition, making eco-bricks, DIY eco-bags and baskets, SDGs-themed games, and picture book reading and sharing sessions. Services were also provided to assist members in making joyful e-contributions.

In addition, a legal seminar was organised, explaining the types and methods of scams, how to identify them, and the appropriate steps to take should one become a victim. Using real-life cases, lawyers Fung Lee Fook and Henry Tan highlighted common tactics used by scammers and reminded participants to stay vigilant in protecting themselves and their families. The seminar drew 105 people, receiving an enthusiastic response.

In the spirit of unity and contribution, SGM branches in the other 11 states also set up service counters at their respective culture centres throughout the October contribution period to assist members and contribute to the cause of kosen-rufu.
