Dr Low Cheong Sin and Spouse Visit Mentor and Disciple Peace Hall

On 2 April 2026, renowned Malaysian calligrapher and seal artist Dr Low Cheong Sin and his spouse visited the Mentor and Disciple Peace Hall at Wisma Kebudayaan SGM. The visit provided an opportunity to learn about the Soka Gakkai’s longstanding initiatives in promoting peace, culture and education. Discussions focused on artistic creation, cultural dissemination, and social values. Through guided tours, Dr Low and his spouse gained a deeper understanding of the Soka Gakkai’s philosophy of connecting people through culture and fostering positive social development.

Dr Low, who holds a Ph.D from the Chinese Academy of Art, currently serves as president of the Malaysia Seal-Carving Association and is a member of China’s Xiling Seal Art Society. He has long been committed to the preservation and promotion of Chinese culture abroad. Previously, he participated in the “Dancing Universe – Five Calligraphers from China Academy of Art,” jointly organised by SGM and Wenhui Tang in May and June 2018, actively promoting Malaysia-China cultural and artistic exchange.

Dr Low inscribed the message “The Light of Civilisation” as his impression. The visit not only strengthened mutual understanding but also laid a foundation for future collaboration in art and cultural exchange.
