June is a particularly significant month for the women of Soka, and so we would like to take a look at women’s contributions to poetry. 

The first recorded woman poet and author, Enheduanna, was a Sumerian priestess and princess who lived some 4,300 years ago. The daughter of Sargon of Akkad, she wrote various works, the most significant of which is The Exaltation of Innanna, a hymn to the moon god Nanna.
